Pella Police handle domestic animals at large; dogs and cats must be leashed, and animals picked up are taken to the pound. The pickup fee is waived for owners who report their pet lost before it is transported. The department also lends live traps for nuisance animals within Pella city limits and arranges transport once an animal is caught.
