No-kill shelter in West Des Moines that adopts out cats, dogs and other animals. It also takes in stray animals picked up in Clive and Urbandale, holds them for owners to reclaim, and places unclaimed animals for adoption.

- How to get started: Visit the adoption center or browse pets online. To reclaim a lost pet, call (515) 371-5586 (weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 10am-5pm) or come to the shelter during open hours with ID.
