One-time financial help for Placer County residents facing pet-related hardships, including unexpected veterinary bills, rental pet deposits and temporary boarding.
Good to know
- Who can use it: Placer County residents. Veterinary funding is limited to cases with a good prognosis; pets must be spayed or neutered at treatment if the vet recommends it. Cosmetic procedures, chronic conditions needing ongoing care, and animals with significant behavior issues are not eligible. Approval takes time and may not fit emergencies.
- How to get started: Submit the request form on the Financial Assistance page or call 916-872-6170. For rental deposits or boarding, complete the downloadable application; the SPCA confirms details with the landlord or boarding facility.
