Paws 4 A Cure
National dog-and-cat veterinary financial-assistance program that is temporarily not accepting new applications.
Temporarily unavailable · checked October 19, 2026
Who this may fit
When open, applicants must document hardship, diagnosis and treatment plan and provide the treating veterinary practice’s information. The program does not pay outstanding bills or reimburse already-paid care. Routine care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, euthanasia and cremation are excluded.
Availability and limits
Applications are still paused. On October 19, 2026 the official page asked applicants to check back after October 25 for updates on when applications will reopen. The maximum grant is now listed as up to $400, one time, and funds are described as extremely limited.
How to start
Do not submit while the pause remains posted. Recheck the official page after October 25, and keep applying to other programs in the meantime; the program itself requires applicants to apply to several sources.
