Greatly reduced-cost care from the shelter medical team for pets with an urgent medical problem whose owners face financial hardship, to prevent surrender or euthanasia over cost. It is not free; cost estimates are given before scheduling and the bill is paid at the time of service, with a deposit for surgeries. It does not cover emergencies needing intensive care, routine vaccines or dentals, chronic conditions needing rechecks, euthanasia or several other conditions listed on the page. Cases are prioritized by urgency.
