No-kill, donor-funded, limited-admission shelter in Hattiesburg specializing in adoptions and in caring for mistreated and homeless pets. It serves the counties outside the City of Hattiesburg that do not have animal control officers. Intake is a two-step appointment process with a medical and behavioral assessment, vaccines and microchip; same-day drop-offs are not accepted. The shelter does not spay or neuter community animals, and its resources page lists low-cost spay/neuter options.
