Iowa's largest nonprofit animal shelter. ARL Main houses adoptions, the Pet Help Center and administration. Pet owner surrenders are handled here by appointment after an online intake form, and the ARL also runs lost and found pet help.

- How to get started: Visit during adoption hours or browse pets online. To surrender a pet, complete the online intake form for your species; the ARL contacts you to schedule an appointment at the Pet Help Center (green entrance, north side of the building).
