New Mexico Board of Veterinary Medicine Spay/Neuter Grant Program
Spay and neuter
State-funded grants to nonprofits and providers that offer free or low-cost dog and cat spay/neuter to New Mexico residents with household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Pet owners get services through the grant recipients, not by applying to the Board.
Owners cannot apply to the Board directly. The 2026 list of grant recipients was not posted when we checked, so call the Board at (505) 553-7021 to ask which providers currently have funds near you.
